Great Puzzle Toy for Toddlers 2010-08-16 |
| By Rebecca Abney (MidWest) |
| I found this for my nephew. I think I gave it to him for his 2nd birthday or the Christmas shortly after. He loves it. It has helped him with pattern matching (the rectangle block goes in the rectangle shape). It is great for helping him learn colors and shapes. It is a very durable toy (especially since I found it at Goodwill for only $1.00). He loves playing with this still and is almost 4 now. |
2 Year Old Boy Sits Still for Hours...it's a miracle puzzle! 2010-07-22 |
| By anonymous (Rio Rico, AZ) |
| My 26 month old son who rarely stops moving unless in REM sleep sat and played with this toy without getting distracted or bored for HOURS when I gave it to him last night. He loves talking about the shapes and colors and describes what the different pictures are. The set is sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. And, as a mom who has to pick up toys with a zillion little pieces, this has a reasonable amount of easy to handle pieces. I showed him how the 2 triangles put together make a square, and he has taken to making designs on the table with the shapes also. He's gaining dexterity and spatial relation knowledge. We separate by shape, count the pieces, etc...He is entertained and educated simultaneously...what more could a mom ask for? Highly recommend. |

| Over the recent holidays I had kids of all ages in the house. All of the kids between the ages of 20 months to 6 years tried the toy at least once. The little ones played with it for quite some time. They learned to use different shapes to complete the puzzles. It's a great toy for lots of different age levels. The kids were discussing shapes colors animals. It's sturdy, colorful, has storage space... Another Melissa & Doug winner!! |
Great toy, but missing one thing: a cover 2010-03-01 |
| By RRH (Charleston area, SC, USA) |
My almost-3 year old loves these puzzles. There are a dozen of them (I think) which provides for lots of variety, and he loves putting together several at a time. It's also helping him learn his shapes better.
The product is missing one thing: A top cover. All these parts and pieces (close to 30 pieces) have nothing to keep them contained when the box is tipped over. Other than that, I have no complaints. Great toy. |
